Kearney, NE Thu Oct, 02 2025 Tri-State Livestock Auction - McCook, NE Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 9/29/2025 Receipts: 3772 Last Week: 2039 Last Year: 1533 Compared to last week, bawling steer and heifer calves with fall precondition shots sold mostly steady with some springtime vaccinated calves selling a few dollars lower than previous test. Overall, calf quality was very attractive from start to finish. Demand was very good for heifers with top quality angus genetics that will be grown and bred next spring for replacements. Yearling operators and backgrounders had order buyers busy purchasing cattle for next year grass turn out or hoping to hit the April fat market with new crop calves.
