Slaughter and feeding cows sold steady to 1.00 lower and slaughter bulls sold 4.00 higher. Demand was good for calves and feeder cattle and cow/calf pairs with moderate to good demand for slaughter cattle. Bulk of the bred cows and the cow/calf pairs headed to different states where there has been some moisture and green grass. Like a broken record player repeating or skipping back to the same place on another week talking about the drought situation in the state. More than likely one would have to find an old timer in a nursing home to see if they can remember a time this dry, the dirty 30's come to the minds of some. Very limited moisture came to the SE part of the state as a snow system blew through. Ranchers have started to sell off some cow/calf pairs just hoping rain will come very soon and the rest of the herd will survive another year on the range. Plus some would be grass turn out cattle are being sold on video or through the area auction barns for the some reason.
