Cattle futures on a downhill slide and as of yet nothing is stopping it. This is hanging on cash markets as buyers really don't know where to value an animal with daily declines in the futures. Temperatures remain extremely hot and dry in the south and west while heavy rains continue to fall in the north and east. These conditions obviously very tough on livestock and producers alike. Demand moderate but seller interest light. Supply included 88 percent from the South Central Region; 11 percent from the West region; and < 1 percent from the South East region. Current delivery is 14 days from the day of the sale and is up to and including August 27, 2026. Deliveries are current thru January 2027.
