Feeder heifers 10.00-15.00 lower. Quality played a significant role in today's lower market as there were very few top-quality cattle offered. Steer calves over 500lbs unevenly steady, under 500lbs 10.00-15.00 higher. Heifer calves over 500lbs 3.00-8.00 lower, under 500lbs 10.00-15.00 higher. Quality played little role in the calf market, as buyers were primarily focused on filling orders for specific weight classes. Calf demand centered on cattle carrying thinner flesh, resulting in an uneven market as discounts were applied to cattle carrying excess condition.
