Feeder heifers steady to 5.00 lower. Demand moderate to good despite cattle futures struggling to show upward momentum most of the week. Bulk of the calf trade was for fall delivery and these cattle sold to good demand. Several Bred heifers included and trade activity and demand was good. Weather continues to dominate headlines with heavy rains falling to the north and east, while extremely hot dry conditions remain in all areas of the south. Supply included 51 percent from the South Central region, 4 percent from the South East region, 3 percent from the West region, 37 percent from the North Central region, and 5 percent from the North East region. Deliveries are current through March 2027. Current delivery is 14 days from the last day of the video (August 21) and is up to and including September 4, 2026.
