Demand was good. Breaking and Boning slaughter cows sold steady to 3.00 higher, while Lean cows and Bulls sold 6.00 to 8.00 higher. Compared to last week, trading of Kansas negotiated fed cattle sold 2.00 lower at 246.00. In the hay market, This past week, demand held steady while movement ranged from slow to moderate. Ongoing drought concerns and declining alfalfa conditions have many producers holding onto inventory rather than selling. Many are watching the forecast and anticipating storms that could bring much-needed relief.
