Very good demand for this offering of attractive, light fleshed steers and heifers. The market was very active, most notably on the light cattle and heifers to make cows out of. As turnout time has arrived there were plenty of buyers still wanting light cattle to run on grass as yearlings. With cash fed cattle making new all-time highs at 265.00 last week, there is great competition to get feeder cattle bought. Sharp losses seen in the futures complex today creating concern amongst cattle feeders. This is the last reported feeder cattle sale until the late summer/early fall marketing season begins.
