Very good demand for yearling steers and heifers as they continue to be offered right off grass, cattle feeders are anxious to get these light fleshed yearlings bought while they are available. A few spring born calves offered this week as well, moderate to good demand for these light calves. Most cattle feeders aren't quite ready to take on calves yet as they don't have the time necessary to watch them as closely as needed when they are spread so thin with harvest underway. Pastures are getting short and more cow/calf producers will be shipping their calves to town in the coming weeks. Slaughter cows steady to 2.00 higher, bulls 1.00 higher.
