Slaughter cows and bulls sold firm. Demand was reported throughout the state as good. Compared to last week, fed slaughter steers and heifers in the feed yards sold 2.00 higher at 180.00. In the hay market, demand and trade activity remains slow, prices were steady. Producers report hot and dry conditions across the state as many continue swathing and baling their 3rd cuttings. With well above normal temperatures for the week, eastern Kansas witnessed further degradations in drought conditions.
